Most medicines used for add are amphetamines which are stimulants. Your dr. can only diagnose add, but this site is very educating. ADHD is attention deficit hyper disorder which most kids are diagnosed with and ADD is just like you said attention deficit disorder diagnosed in most adults. Go to mayoclinic.com and type in Add.
